Nichole a.k.a "Coley"

Hi! I'm Nichole. I'm a 24 year old momma of two from Upstate New York. I'm a serious chocoholic and have a problem with sharing my chocolate (even with my kids). I just graduated with my Master's degree in May '11. I work full time as a Mental Health Therapist. I got married when I was 19 because I was crazy head over heels in love with this one boy named Brandon. We are obnoxious, fun, extremely goofy and after 7 years together, we are still going strong.  The busyness of life can create chaos but we try to hold it together the best we can :) I wanted to take this opportunity to be part of this blog to give thoughts from not only a mommy of two little girls, a working mom, a breastfeeding mom, a young mom, a married mom, but also as a professional in the mental health world. 

Meet My Kiddos

Camryn Claire "Cammy" is a sweet little 3 year old princes with a big heart and a big mouth :) She never stops chatting..EVER. Although we enjoy the humorous things that escape from her little mouth, we often engage in the game "MUM" (The first time we played this she made it to 1 minute and said "I really think we should play another game"). Camryn is extremely smart. I often wonder if she is gifted (along with every other parent). She excelled in recognizing her letters and singing the alphabet at 18 months along with counting to 20. She is 3 years old and now reading, writing, and doing basic addition.  Her empathy for others blows me away. She also has a little bit of an attitude and the memory of an elephant (Yes, one time I accidentally ate her Reese Cup and she reminded me of this for a year each time with full on water works). I'm a helicopter parent in the best way possible and believe that while I want her to learn from her own mistakes that I can be there to help her learn and discover what her alternative options could have been and can be next time. She is very well behaved and typically I just have to hold up the number one on my finger and without saying a word to get her to do what I have asked. Cammy has a kind heart and loves her little sister very much. She is a solid mix between princess and tomboy. She loves Lightning McQueen and playing with trains, but will do so in her tutu's and princess dresses :)

Kylie Makenna "Ky" is a smiley little 8 month old. She is sweet natured and rarely gets fussy. Kylie is a big girl and 20 pounds of pure fury. Kylie can sit on her own and stand holding onto stuff but is still working on rolling over and army crawling, her doctor said she is just being a princess :) We are working on a little weaning from the boob and heading toward eating some yummy baby food! Kylie is just starting to develop her personality and tries to be funny by biting peoples noses (Thank god she doesn't have teeth yet!) Warning: If she is in her jumperoo she will poop...all over her clothes. It's a given.
